Summer Camp 2017

Empower Summer Youth Camp is ON and Upper Valley Girls Lacrosse Week Has Arrived!

Empower Summer Youth Camp – June 29 and 30th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Registration is open.

Our summer camp is aimed at youth players and is a mix of skill work and small games.

We will continue to “amplify the healthy voices” with our speaker series.  Thanks to a generous gift from the Byrne Foundation, Cindy Pierce, a leader social educator, comic story teller and one of the Upper Valley’s true treasures, will address our camper and touch on building a healthy crew, being present/managing technology and developing a clear moral compass.  All of these topics relate to team dynamics very directly.  In helping to build girls that are strong teammates, Empower also seeks to build girls that have stronger characters.

As always, a goal of our program is to connect current college and high school players with youth players.  In 2016, we had college players from Dartmouth, Georgetown, St. Lawrence and Colorado College work with our players in our programs.  Our head coaches have coached or played at Dartmouth, Middlebury, St. Lawrence, and Tufts.

Youth Camp Dates:  Thursday and Friday, June 29 and 30th.

Why A 2-Day Camp?

This is a great question.  As always, we try not to conflict with the Dartmouth Lacrosse Camps and encourage our players to attend.  Danielle Spencer, the new Women’s Lacrosse coach at Dartmouth, has started a new camp effort called Got Game Lacrosse.  She is holding two youth lacrosse day-camps on June 27 and 28.  The Empower Camp and Got Game – together – create an excellent Upper Valley Girls Lacrosse Week!  Also, together they create nearly a full week of lacrosse camp; this is often easier on parents.  Empower hopes to support and continue to work on skills the girls learn at Got Game Lacrosse.  To find out more about Danielle’s camps, please go to:  http://www.gotgamelacrosse.com
