46 Players and 10 Coaches Make Memorial Day Clinic Memorable

The Empower Lacrosse Club Memorial Day Clinic was a spectacular event under perfect weather conditions. With 46 players and 10 coaches, the fields were filled with royal blue girls eager to learn skills and play lacrosse.

The girls spanned many towns including Hanover, Norwich, Woodstock, Hartford and Barre. The coaches included Former Dartmouth college coaches, current and past players from Dartmouth, Colorado State, UNH, Hanover High School and an Olympian with extensive lacrosse experience.

After introductions, the coaching staff demonstrated what would be taught next including shooting (with the shot clock), crease rolls and split dodges. From there the groups were split by age and completed 15 minute stations rotating through all three skills.

Phase 2 of the clinic again included a coach’s demo where they reviewed 2v1’s. 3v2’s and 4v3’s. There was lots of excitement watching the coaches show off their defending skills at full speed. The girls again broke into their groups for rotations of practicing each ELC Memorial Day Clinic 2014-9090of the elements.
