2016 Empower Summer Schedule

2016 Empower Summer Schedule; March 1 Registration Deadline for Tournaments

Nearly 30 players are playing Empower winter ball at KUA, and it’s hard to believe we are in the process of finalizing our summer schedule.

We have registered for two tournaments and picked our camp dates, so we want to let you know as soon as possible. REGISTRATION OPENS FEBRUARY 5 AND CLOSES MARCH 1, 2016.

The basics:

  1. March 1 is a hard deadline. Empower is already registered to play in the tournaments, and we have to withdraw any teams by that date to avoid losing the registration fees.
  2. If we have over 20 players signed up per team, we will need to hold try-outs. This is new for 2016.
  3. Goalies are free for the Empower practices, but we ask that goalies cover the tournament costs.
  4. At the tournaments, the age groupings are organized by high school graduation year. For example, the current 8th graders are 2020’s. The current 7th graders are 2021’s. Bitter is the only tournament we will participate in with a division for 2019s (current 9th), 2018s and 2017s.
  5. Players can sign-up for one or both tournament/practice sessions. The tournament and three preceding practices are bundled together – not “sold separately.”
  6. All summer tournaments are 12v12 unless stated otherwise.
  7. Financial assistance available, please contact Marianne at: bocockdoyle@me.com

Classic Lacrosse Camp at Dartmouth

The Empower players who attended the camp in 2014 had an excellent experience.
